Rapaport Social Responsibility

The Rapaport Social Responsibilty Program Is designed to identify and certify diamond, gems and jewelry products that meet well defined, transparent, documented and audited social responsibility standards. The standards apply to a range of socially responsible claims related to supply chain production processes such mining and manufacturing as well as identifying recycled and pre-owned jewelry products.

The standards we apply are based on the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) Code Of Practices wherever applicable including provenance claims. For claims not standardized by RJC, such as pre-owned jewelry, we apply and disclose compatible standards.

Our goal Is to support socially responsible practices by enabling suppliers to capture the added value of socially responsible products through certification. We do this by certifying products that meet well defined standards thereby enabling them to capture the added value created by their social responsibility efforts and practices. We believe suppliers need to be fairly rewarded for their efforts and costs associated with the creation  and monitoring of socially responsible products. Our goal Is to ensure that the good people, making good products are able to capture the added value of their good products.

We believe that what we are doing has the ability to make the world a better place rewarding socially responsibility within the diamond, gem and jewelry industry.
